Hey all, I somehow cannot find this newly created field in the dropdown values, does anyone perhaps know why? I tried selecting “Account” as object, as well as “User”, but in both, this field is not traceable.

Thanks!

Hi @IngeSource

Your screenshot from Salesforce is for this object: Account

But your screenshot from the Zap step shows this Salesforce Object: User

Also, it is unclear which “field” you are referring to.

Best to outline a specific example for us to have more context about what object you are trying to find and the logic you are trying to use to configure the Zap step to find that object record.

Hey @Troy Tessalone, thank you for your reply! Appreciate it.

I attached a screenshot where you can see the “field” I am referring to in Salesforce, it’s called “AISSControlLead”. This field originates on the Account object. Regardless of me selecting Account, or in this case “User” as the screenshot shows, the field is not in the dropdown.

The odd thing is that for this particular Zap, we have one similar field on Account Object, called “CS Lead C” (you can see that this value is traceable, and also selected in the Configure step). This zap also works in this way, and we are able to trace down the CS Lead Field from Salesforce and the values from it. I wanted to add the second field, in this case ““AISSControlLead”, which is somehow not traceable in the dropdown field to pick from when selecting a value in “second search value”.

I hope that this clarifies?

Custom fields/objects not loading

Sometimes when you add custom fields or objects in Salesforce, there is a delay between when they will appear in the Zap editor.

To fix this with a trigger you can scroll to the bottom of the Salesforce Object menu and select to reload and bring in new choices.

If you are dealing with actions, here's a couple steps that may help:

  • Hard refreshing the page (Shift+F5 on a PC or CMD+Shift+R on a Mac) a couple times
  • Click ‘Refresh fields’ at the bottom of the Zap step
  • Copy that Zap and edit the copied version to see if the fields appear
  • Recreate the Zap from scratch
  • Wait a while longer, sometimes it takes a little while for the cache to refresh with those fields
