HubSpot Step: Can't find contact first name and last name

I am trying to create a zap that sends an email to a Slack channel whenever a new note is created in a contact in HubSpot. In order to do this, I believe I have to find the contact record ID and the property values of first name and last name. When I try to search for first name and last name in this step, it doesn’t show. There is no option for it. Am I missing something here?

Hi ​@tyguyps2 

In your case, you only need to search HubSpot for Contacts by the Contact ID as that is a unique value.

Things to try…

  • Specify “Additional Properties to Retrieve”
    • e.g. Contact Owner
      • That may return the Contact Owner ID
  • You may need to add a Zap step: HubSpot - Get Owner by ID/Email
  • You may need to add a Zap step: HubSpot - Find Associations
