I’m new to all of this, so any advice is welcome. I am trying to automate social media posts for my client. Here is essentially how my workflow is running:

Fill out a form in Tally, including post images, caption idea, date, etc.

Caption generates through OpenAI, and all of the information is pasted into AirTable.

Images are sent to a Google Drive folder, made public (anyone with the link can edit).

Link ID is pulled from Google Drive

^ This all works.

But when I try to link this image in the Media section in my Buffer action, I always get the same error:

“Failed to create an update in Buffer

Failed to create the update - Instagram is all about the images! Up for adding one to your post and trying again?”

I feel like I have tried everything. Uploading the image to Dropbox, Cloudinary, Imgur, etc. Any help is VERY welcome! ChatGPT is sick of me asking for help, and I’m just going in loops. Thanks

TLDR: How do I upload images to Buffer through Zapier??

Hi @jamest1124

Help links for using files in Zaps: https://help.zapier.com/hc/en-us/articles/8496288813453-Send-files-in-Zaps

For us to have more context, post screenshots showing how your Zap step is configured in EDIT mode with the field mappings visible.

Hi @jamest1124 👋

Did the guide Troy shared help you to get the image file sent over to Buffer successfully, or are you still getting errors?

Keep us posted on how it’s going, want to get this sorted! 🙂
