I’m creating a system that auto generates an email when an image within my library comes close to (within 2 days) expiring. I have linked my spreadsheet, and included two formatters and a filter - to then generate my auto generated email.

I have everything set up okay, the problem I’m having is that when i add an expiry date into my spreadsheet (for an image that expires well beyond 2 days), it auto generates an email immediately. I only want to recieve an auto email within the 2 day warning window.

My flow looks like this:

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

HI @Dan_Edwards

Looks like you are missing steps to get data from a spreadsheet.

Try this approach…

Use Airtable instead of Excel/GSheets.

In Airtable you can create Views, which are segments of data in a Table. (sort, filter, group, show/hide fields, reorder fields)

Create a View with Filter conditions such as Date = Tomorrow

Airtable has native Automations.

Airtable Automations have native integrations with Gmail/Outlook.

So the idea is to create an Airtable Automation that does this: When record enters a designated View, then send an email.

Hey @Dan_Edwards

Jamie here from Zapier Support!

From what you’re describing, it sounds like the best thing to do would be to a Delay step to your Zap (https://help.zapier.com/hc/en-us/articles/8496288754829-Add-delays-to-Zaps) and that Zap run delay until two days shy of that data in that Spreadsheet (using the -2d expression as talked about here: https://help.zapier.com/hc/en-us/articles/8496307860109-Adjust-date-and-time-values-in-Zaps)

I hope that helps!
