How to set a time filter in Zapier to prevent calls during business hours

I’ve set this up for several clients before - with formatters and filters is the way.

I’d need to see your setup to be sure (can you post some screenshots of the formatter and filter step) - but my first suggestion would be to check the correct timezone is set in your Zapier settings.

For the Formatter steps, change the From Time Zone to: US/Eastern

This is because the Input timestamp has a time zone offset (-05:00), which indicates the time zone is US/Eastern.

Updated to EST, it says your run passes the rules for the filter and continues running the zap

Try splitting the Filter conditions into 2 different filter steps.

1 to check the day from Formatter Step 2 with 2 OR condition.

• [OUTPUT] contains Saturday
• OR
• [OUTPUT] contains Sunday

1 to check the hour form Formatter Step 3 with 2 OR conditions.

• [OUTPUT] is less than 9
• OR
• [OUTPUT] is greater than 17
