How to query and update Salesforce contacts in Zapier

Hi everyone,

I am trying to build a Zap that queries X number of contacts from Salesforce everyday and update the contact owner to match the account owner. When I test it, the workflow is working as expected, but this is happening for a one record only and not for the entire list of queried results.

Is it possible to achieve this execution using Zapier (query contacts and update the information based on their respective accounts)

Hi @gustavo.silva

Change the setting for this field: If multiple search results are found

Select the option for: Return all

I updated the Query node and to Return all results as line items.

However, I am getting this error now when trying to test the Query node. I have tried reconnecting but still getting the same error.

Hi @gustavo.silva

For us to have more info, post these screenshots:

  • how your Zap steps are outlined
  • how your Zap steps are configured in the CONFIGURE tab while in EDIT mode with the field mappings visible
  • the encountered error
