How to Insert an Inline Image at a Specific Location in a Google Doc?

Hi everyone,

I'm currently building a Zap that creates a Google Document from a template and inserts an inline image from Airtable. However, I’m struggling to define a specific location where the image should be placed.

  • Using Segment IDs – No success
  • Using Table IDs – This seemed promising, but it didn’t work as expected
  • The image only inserts at the top of the document, which isn’t what I need

I want the inline image to be inserted at a predefined position (however not always the same position) inside the document (e.g., within a specific table cell or next to certain text).

Has anyone successfully achieved this?

Any guidance on properly configuring Zapier’s “Image Location” fields (Segment ID, Index, Table ID) would be greatly appreciated!
