How to get hyperlinks to work in Outlook Calendar event descriptions

Hi Everyone, 

I am having issues with getting hyperlinks to show on my outlook calendar event descriptions.

Issue: Hyperlinks are showing as plain text in the description of my outlook calendar event
Goal: Have the hyperlink show as a hyperlink on the description

Reach Goal: Have the hyperlink show as a hyperlink on the description AND figure out how to include a PDF directly within the description or as an attachment. 

Additional Information:
My zap is as follows Trigger: New row in Smartsheet created → make new event on outlook calendar. 

I’ve tried to get the hyperlink to work two ways, one way was to add the hyperlink a smartsheet row and add that field to the description. The other was to use HTML directly in the event description section within the zap. 

Both didn’t work and the end result was just plain text instead of the hyperlink. I would appreciate any suggestions!
