Hi I am trying to connect my eventbrite event to mailchimp - I’ve done this many times but now I’m hitting errors at virtually the first step - I cannot send a test to Mailchimp - it’s rejecting the email? It seems to be asking for a formatter or filter - all new to me! Ive added both but frankly am baffled as to whether thats the right thing to do!

Hi @melanietmarketing
The provided email address value “Info Requested” is not a valid email address as expected by the Email field.

Thank you - thta was the only option when selecting email - what field should i have selected?
@melanietmarketing
For the Email field, the mapped variable must contain a valid email address.
For us to have more info, post screenshots showing how your Mailchimp step is configured in EDIT mode with field mappings visible.
You should add a Filter condition that checks if the mapped variable for Email contains @ to signify an email address in order to prevent the Mailchimp step error.

HI I am sorry to be a pain - I’ve added that filter and still it fails! I have read the various troubleshooting threads and it seems to happen when multiple tickets are ordered in EB - I did find this happened before if multiple tickets were ordered but now it happens regardless it seems.
@melanietmarketing
The Filter step will only pass if the mapped variable for email address has a valid email address value.
The Filter indicates in the yellow warning section that the Filter step would not have passed and thus the Zap Run would not have continued.
If the Zap Run is Filtered out, then Zap step 3 for Mailchimp won’t run and won’t encountered an error.
Try turning the Zap ON and testing live for different cases. (single ticket, multiple tickets, etc.)
Then check your Zap Runs history details to see the DATA IN/OUT for each step to help you trace the data flow and troubleshoot: https://zapier.com/app/history/
