There actually aren't separate "business" and "hobbyist" account categories in Zapier that would prevent you from upgrading or require different setup processes.
Zapier offers these plan types: • Personal plans (Professional) - perfect for individual users, whether you're a hobbyist or running a business • Team plans - for organizations with multiple users • Enterprise plans - for larger organizations
The tax ID you mentioned is completely optional and only used for billing purposes if you need it on your invoices or want to request tax exemption. It's not required to upgrade your plan or use any Zapier features.
You definitely don't need to delete everything and start over! You can simply choose the plan that fits your automation needs, regardless of whether you're using Zapier for hobby projects or business purposes.
Can you provide any further context or screenshots on the issue you’re having? My hunch is that this isn’t a Zapier account error and perhaps another app?
