Hi @nk1

Good question.

Try these Zap steps:

  1. Trigger: Schedule
  2. Action: Gmail - Send Email
    1. Include the desired export link to the GSheet in the attachment
      1. Make sure the GSheet is publicly available to be used in Zaps

PREP

Use a temp Zap to find the GSheet to get the desired GSheet export link (e.g. CSV, PDF, etc.)

Action: GDrive - Find FIle

Hi Troy,

Thank you for your response.

I have the schedule sorted - Thanks to your advice!

I did an action of send email and in the attachments I put the public link of the google sheet. But the test email doesnt pull in the sheet it just sends a form of .txt file - which is not what I want!

Then I added a step to find file - but not getting it to find my file either!!!

So sorry - I am so bad!

Thank you

@nk1

Please post screenshots with how your Zap steps are configured in order for us to have context.

This is the screen shot from finding the file!

I have a work around - by placing the link of the google sheet in the body of the email - at least the person can get the sheet that way - worst case!

@nk1

Question becomes whether the person should be the GSheet as an attachment (snapshot) on the email OR as a link in the body of the email.

Link in the body of the email would be better if they need to see the live GSheet.

The screenshots don’t show how your Gmail step is configured that is producing the issue.

You can use this utility to determine the GDrive directly file download link, which may need to be used:
