I have a zap that creates a google doc from a template, and I select pdf as the export option in one step.

In the next step I use zapier’s email tool to email the pdf document. 

The issue is that the exported pdf always includes the title of the tab as an extra first page. This is a problem, as the automatically emailed pdf is intended to be a 1-pager.

What should I screenshot and upload? The zap? The pdf? Sorry, this IS my first rodeo.

I don’t see any issues with the fields in the Zap. Could you please send a screenshot of the Template in Google Docs?

I don’t see any issues with the template itself. I'd recommend reaching out to our Support Team to investigate this issue further since they have the correct tools to look closer at the Zap and its logs.

Hi, im experiencing the same issue and couldn’t find a solution anywhere.. I found that the problem of this extra page with the tab name seems to be quite unknown itself, so I wanted to ask if you have found a fix for this issue?

I'm sorry to hear you're still having this issue. For a deeper investigation, it's best to contact Zapier's Support Team, as they can access your Zap logs and troubleshoot more effectively. Include as many details as possible to speed up the process.

I am having this same issue as well. It is like google docs is making an entire page for the tab name when creating the pdf in the create document from template action.

We sincerely apologize but it seems that there is some bug on removing the tab title when exporting in Google Docs as a PDF. I'd recommend reaching out to our Zapier Support Team to investigate this issue further since they have the correct tools to look closer at the Zap and its logs.
