Question

How do I manage the auto image created on facebook page posts

I have set up a very simple Zap, RSS to Facebook page post. No images exist in my RSS, it’s all text.

I have tested it and it comes through looking like this:

I have two questions:

How do I manage this auto image it creates? I would like to supply or design the image so it is, at least, in line with the brand.

Why are the words - none specified - appearing on this auto image?

The setup looks like this, I do not supply anything in the “photo” field, and whether I do or not (tested both ways), it still says - none specified - on this automatically created image:

Any advise on this would be very much appreciated!

Hi @ANHJobs,

Welcome to the Community.

Facebook’s auto-generated image and “none specified” text are likely placeholders when an RSS feed lacks an image or specific metadata. Include one in your RSS feed or provide an image URL in your Zap setup to control the image. The missing text may be due to the absence of metadata such as author or category. Additionally, Facebook’s guidelines may impact how posts are displayed.

I hope this helps. If you have any more questions or need further clarification, feel free to ask.

Hello and thank you so much for your response.

I can talk to my designer and web developer in that case to have an image URL included in the RSS feed and also try to discover which field is missing text.

Thank you!

Hi @ANHJobs,

Please keep us updated once the image URL is included in the RSS feed. We’re happy to assist further!
