How do I get SKUs from Quickbooks New Invoice Trigger

Hi, I am using the Quickbooks New Invoice trigger to create orders for Shipstation.  I am able to get most of it working however there is no SKU fields to pull from for the QBO Line Items that I can see.  Is there any way to expose the SKU fields for the Line Items somehow?  The fields are filled out in the Quickbooks backend but are not coming in.

Hey @PiedPiper,

There is a limitation on Quickbooks invoice trigger as stated on this article here (https://help.zapier.com/hc/en-us/articles/8496000012301-Common-Problems-with-QuickBooks-Online-on-Zapier?utm_source=chatgpt.com#h_01J0TZPTZCPST9ZEFZJPN30B2K)-

  • SKUs are set on the product and cannot be manually written to the invoice, so that's why this field is unavailable. If you select the correct Line Item/Product, then the SKU will automatically pull into the invoice.

A workaround can be using Find Product action in Zapier after the trigger where you can search by product name you obtained from the trigger.

Hope it helps!

Hi there @PiedPiper! How did you get on with the approach Sparsh suggested? Let us know whether that did the trick, want to make sure you’ve got it sorted! 🙂
