Hi everyone,

I’m setting up a Zapier Interface + Table for my law firm’s estate planning intake. I’m totally new to Interfaces and figuring it out as I go.

The goal:
Because the full intake form has ~100 questions, I split it across multiple form pages (~25 questions each) so clients can submit in chunks and return later. But I want all of the data from those separate forms to land in one single row in a Zapier Table — so we have one complete client record.

What I’ve tried:

  • Passing a Row ID via URL (e.g. ?Row ID={{Row ID}})

  • Using hidden fields (like Row ID or Email)

  • Matching rows by client email or other unique fields

  • Setting up Zaps to update the main table based on submissions

But no matter what I do, each form still creates a new row, instead of updating the one that already exists.

I also wanted to create separate pages so that I could zap some reminders to end clients if they hadn’t completed a section. So some kind of monitoring Zap that sees if the table has received the data, and then the client gets an automated reminder with a link to exactly the section they need to fill.

Why this matters:
We want to:

  1. Auto-generate a PDF summary for attorney review

  2. Send the data to Actionstep via Zapier

I moved from Microsoft Forms hoping for more flexibility, and Interfaces is great — but this is the one piece I can’t figure out.

Has anyone successfully gotten this to work? I’d love any advice or examples — even if it means using a slightly more advanced setup with staging tables or other tricks.

Thanks in advance

Hi @Ezra6767

Instead, you may want to look into using this Zap app: Content Snare

Zapier Interface Form submissions will create a new row.

You’ll likely need another Zapier to use as your hub for centralized single records.

e.g. Interface Form A logs data in Zapier Table B, then use Zap C to find/create/update a record in Zapier Table D.

@Troy Tessalone, thank you for the recommendation for this software!! This is exactly the type of thing we would like to use. I had searched before through different form softwares, but they didn’t offer enough value to be worthwhile, but all of the features of ContentSnare make it a no brainer for us. Now to figure out how to smoothly zap everything over into ActionStep, but first I’ll set up our forms on ContentSnare. Thank you for the recommendation, and have a great day.
