Hello fine folks!

I want to take a file that gets dropped into a specific Google Drive folder that may take a Google Sheet or Google Excel file.

In the instance that it’s a Google Excel file, that obviously won’t work with my flow since I need to use the “Google Sheets: Get Many Spreadsheet Rows” step so my thinking was that I’d create a brand new Google Sheets spreadsheet and then copy the contents of the Excel sheet into the Google Sheet. Is this possible?

Currently, when I try to test this with an .xlsx sheet, it gives me the following error:
 


With the current configuration being:
 

 

Reselected drive and folder, reset all fields for the step and re-entered them and then implemented the variable title - still got a bad request haha

When you retest Zap step 1, it should return new example records, make sure to select the top returned example to test your Zap action steps with that data.

I did! All these tests were ran with this one:

 


Just always gives “Bad Request”

If you’ve done live Zap Runs, check the Zap Runs history details to see the DATA IN/OUT for a Zap step.

Check the LOGS tab to see the underlying API request/response, which can often contain more details about the error.

Include screenshots for us to have context.

So I published it to do a live test like you mentioned but this time I accidentally selected a different excel test sheet and...it worked? 

 


After seeing this, I tested the one I’ve been using and...it didn’t?

 

 



And then I took the contents of this spreadsheet and just attached it to the end of the first spreadsheet I accidentally used...and it worked?

Not sure.

Perhaps it was a corrupted files that was not encoded correctly.

I recommend continue to test with other files to determine if that is an exception or the rule.

Yeah, testing so far looks good. Seems to be working Troy :)
