Housecall Pro not syncing estimates to my calendar

I am using Housecall Pro and Outlook. It pulls the new jobs just fine, but doesn’t pull the new estimates to put

on my calendar. Please let me know if this is possible.

I had a look and we’ve got an existing feature request for a “New Estimate Created” trigger to be added. That seems to be what you’d need here, so I went ahead and added your vote for that. I can’t make any promises as to when that trigger might get added but we’ll be sure to send you an email notification once it is. 

In the meantime, did you have any luck with the workarounds drtanvisachar and Sparsh suggested? Let us know if you got stuck at all, we’d be happy to help! 🙂

Hello   ​@wilkins2277  This is likely a limitation of the Housecall Pro Zapier app.

Housecall Pro currently triggers on New Job, but estimates are a separate object and don’t have a native New Estimate trigger in Zapier. That’s why jobs show up on your Outlook calendar but estimates don’t.

Workarounds to consider:
If estimates get converted to jobs, the New Job trigger will fire.
If estimate notifications are emailed, you could use Email by Zapier or Outlook’s New Email trigger to create calendar events.

Currently New Estimate trigger is not supported for Housecall Pro Zapier integration.

But there is a workaround by creating a webhooks for Estimate creation in Housecall Pro and catching that in Zapier using Webhooks in Zapier. Here is Housecall Pro webhooks documentation- https://docs.housecallpro.com/docs/housecall-public-api/46e9e1be07621-webhooks. See the image below for Estimates Webhook-

 



Once you create the webhook, you will have to Catch hook trigger to catch that webhook in Zapier. Here is a helpful article about it here- https://help.zapier.com/hc/en-us/articles/8496083355661-How-to-get-started-with-Webhooks-by-Zapier

I can understand it can get a bit more technical and complex but if it’s important for you, you can give this approach a try. Hope it helps!

Both of those options were unfortunately too complex for me to attempt them especially with my current workload. I do greatly appreciate your follow up.
