Hi all, I’m trying to zap my honeybook clients to automatically sync to a google sheet but it keeps reading error.

does anyone have experience with this?

Hi @techhelp,

Can you provide screenshots of the error you’re experiencing?

There shouldn’t be any issue syncing a newly created client in Honeybook to a Google Sheet for example so I’m thinking it’s a zapier configuration related issue.

Hi @techhelp

For us to have more info, provide these screenshots:

  • how your Zap steps are outlined
  • how your Zap steps are configured in EDIT mode with the field mappings visible so we can see the field types
  • any encountered errors from testing the Zap step

it says everything is working but when i try to create a project to see if it will go into my google sheet it doesn’t i feel like i’m missing something.

@techhelp

Looks like you may need to map variables from Zap step 1 to Zap step 2 using the h+] button for each GSheet column.

Help for how to do that: https://help.zapier.com/hc/en-us/articles/8496343026701-Send-data-between-steps-by-mapping-fields

thank you! When i tried mapping them a random client’s information came up. Is that just used as an example?

@techhelp

Use the Zap trigger step example records to configure your Zap action steps.

Then turn the Zap ON and test live.

Check your Zap Runs history details to see the DATA IN/OUT for each step to help you trace the data flow.

The GSheet step will return the Row/ID that was created in the spreadsheet worksheet for you to reference.

Hey there, @techhelp 👋

Just checking in—did the Zap work correctly when you switched it on and ran a live test, or were the new projects still not added into Google Sheets?

Let us know if you still need any help at all, want to make sure this got sorted! 🙂
