I have set up a Zap to create Shopify orders when an order is placed on my Wix Stores page.
I have placed a test order and it appears to be sitting with Wix, without connecting to Shopify.
I went into my Zap to look for configuration issues, and seem to be lost.
Are there any values I need to select in the Shopify “Create Order” config that aren’t included in any of the walkthough details? I put in test values to run a test and it seemed to work, but I need these dynamically drawn from the Wix order.
Any insight would be helpful!
Hello
I’m Pavel from Zapier Support.
When you want your Zap to send dynamic data from Wix to Shopify — for example, order details, customer info, or item data — you’ll need to make sure each field in your Shopify “Create Order” action is mapped to the corresponding data from your Wix trigger step.
The following article explains how to map dynamic data in a Zap:
https://help.zapier.com/hc/en-us/articles/8496343026701-Send-data-between-steps-by-mapping-fields
To summarize, here’s what you’ll want to do:
-
Open your Zap and edit the Shopify “Create Order” action step.
-
For each field (like “Customer Email,” “Line Items,” “Shipping Address,” etc.), click on the + inside of the field and select the corresponding Wix value from the dropdown.
Once you publish these changes, data should flow dynamically from Wix orders into Shopify once the Zap is live.
