Google Sheets to Mailchimp isn't send out the right data

I’ve got a zap that Adds/Updates a subscriber once it’s been entered into a Sheet row. It mostly works but some critical cells seem to pull the data on the Data In, but not send on on the Data Out. The specific points are birthday and SMS phone number. Has anyone experienced this?

The SMS Phone Number is mapped to a cell with a number, and the birthday is linked to a cell with a date. Both the cells in Sheets have standard sheets format rules applied such as Date and a number format that adds spaces and there’s some light validation on the number cell to make sure there’s 11 digits and it adds a “0” to the beginning of the phone number.

Hi @ecoeyes

For us to have more context, post screenshots of these:

  • How your Zap steps are outlined and configured in EDIT mode
  • How the top 3 rows of your GSheet are configured
  • A specific example of the missing or malformed data points

NOTE: You can add Formatter step to handle numbers and dates

  • Formatter > Numbers > Format Phone Number
  • Formatter > Date & Time > Format

Thanks for the reply, here’s how the sheet looks in GSheets

I’m only importing Columns A to I.

Here’s the data in:

And the Data Out:

And the data is coming through when I set the Zap up:

Thanks for looking

Hi @ecoeyes,

+1 to what Troy suggested. You need to format your Google Sheets spreadsheet in a specific way for the Zap to work and send all the correct information.

Hopefully, this helps!
