Question

Google Sheets filter values copying to Mailchimp instead of selected value

I created a Zap to automatically transfer any new contact added to a Google sheet to Mailchimp. So when a new row is created a Zap occurs.
One of the columns is a filter of predefined values you have to select from. I tested it out and the Zap works, however it copies all the filter values (5) instead of the 1 had selected.
Appreciate any help.

Hi @KOTL

For us to have more info, post screenshots showing:

  • how your Zap steps are outlined and configured in EDIT mode with the field mappings visible
  • the top 3 rows of your GSheet worksheet

The worksheet and the dropdown of filter option
Only one tag was selected in the filter worksheet but all them were passed on to Mailchimp

Hi @KOTL,

To troubleshoot your Google Sheets to Mailchimp Zap, import all predefined values instead of the selected one, ensure the Google Sheets cell contains only the desired value, and map the correct column in the Zap. If the issue persists, add a Formatter by Zapier step to extract the specific value using the 'Text' transform and 'Extract' operation.

I hope this helps. Feel free to contact us if you need further assistance.
