I’ve created a connection between Zapier and HubSpot. My goal is to send Google Docs directly to HubSpot Blogs, so that anyone in the company can publish a blog post without me having to do it manually.

I’ve built a Zapier flow for this, but I haven’t been able to get the actual content of the Google Doc into the HubSpot blog post. Right now, I have to manually paste the content into Zapier, which defeats the purpose.

What I want:
Colleagues should be able to write their blogs in a Google Doc, and then have the full content automatically pushed to HubSpot Blog — without any manual copy-pasting in Zapier.

Anyone who can help me 🙂?

Can you show some screenshots of the entire setup and specifically of the Hubspot Blog Post action as you want it to work (not with the pasted text in there)?

Hi David,

Is this enough information?

Heh. The “Blog Post Content” box specifically is what I was interested in. :-p

In your previous attempts, did you map the Google Doc body content there?

Ah, i’m sorry haha.

But that’s indeed where the issue is, how do i put the google doc content in that box?

Also, do have to create a new workflow for every consultant? Or can I create 1?

I think the issue is:

I don’t want it to run when a new document is published perse, but the content is key

In the editor mode for Hubspot, in the Blog Post Content box, there’s a “+” sign. Click it, and then choose the content from the Google Doc.

If there’s no content showing up, make sure you have “tested” the trigger so that the field is available for you to choose.

You should only need one workflow as long as the folder you defined in the trigger step is accessible by your entire team and they can all add blog posts. As it states, it will trigger whenever a new document is added.

If you don’t want it published when the document is created, is the date consistently the same every week or month or whatever interval?

You can still trigger the Zap based on the document being added, then put a ‘Delay Until’ step before the Hubspot step. You will also need to make the ‘delay until’ step dynamic by adding a date Formatter step in there to configure the day, month, or time that you want.

I have a lot fewer options:

And i tested the trigger, and it is working
