I have seen this question on this exact same topic, however the accepted solution no longer appears to work.
I'm attempting a simple Zap to pull Google Ads monthly costs data. When trying to set up the Create Report action, Zapier lists the sub-accounts in my MCC account without problem, but when I run a test on the step, I get the following error:

User doesn't have permission to access customer. Please go back to the 'Set up' step of your Zap to confirm you've approved Zapier as a data partner.
Zapier has been approved as a data partner in Google ads, both at the MCC level and at the individual account level. The link provided as the answer in the previous question on this topic merely returns me to the same Data Manager page where the connection is already authorised. Please note, there is no option to further manage the connection, the only option is to "unlink" the connection.

I can confirm that I have full manager access to the Google Ads customer.
Testing the connection under App Connections in Zapier shows that the connection works.

Reviewing the connection permissions under my Google user account's security settings shows that Zapier has full access to my Google Ads accounts.

All of the documentation (and requests for assistance from AI assistants) suggests accessing the Linked Accounts settings under my Google Account admin options. However, this page no longer exists and these controls are now under the Tools > Data Manager settings. This is where I have approved Zapier and is where the URL posted as a solution to the previous question leads.
We do have an older zap configured for a different Google Ads account, which my colleague (who has since left the company) set up. Also it has been inactive for some time, I can see that the connection was authorised in Google Ads in the exact same way.
Has anyone successfully made a new connection between Zapier and Google Ads recently?
