Hello, I’m a beginner.

I have literally spent the entire day (I believe I’ve wasted it), learning zapier, watching videos, being super careful. I’m trying to accomplish a non-beginner task, but I believe I can do it--still.

Since you are probably better at this than me, I’ll start with problem, then tell you my goal, and procedure:

MY ROADBLOCK:

Gmail sees the Zap Email Parser email address (mailbox) as SPAM.
When I forward an email from my Gmail inbox to the Parser email address, it goes to Mailer-Daemon.
I cannot forward out of gmail.

I get this reason “You have reached a limit for sending mail. Your message was not sent.”, but my ‘sent’ folder on Gmail is less than 20. I have not sent out more than 500 emails since I’ve had the gmail account account.

MY GOAL:

I have a Substack Newsletter and a CRM (go high level, lead connector).
They each have different master emails associated with them.

I want to keep my subscribers synced in both, without doing it manually.
This means automation using Email Parser.

When I receive a new subscriber in Substack, I get an automated email from Substack to my associated gmail inbox with subject “New free subscriber...”. Inside that email contains the lead’s email address and source (where they signed up from). Similar things happen for unsubscribers, paid subscribers, messages, etc. But for the sake of this post, lets just focus on new subscribers.

I want Gmail to forward that specific email with subject “New free Subscriber” to the Zapier Email Parser. I’ve figured out how to use template in the parser to extract the information I want, so I’m good there.

The Zap takes the Parser email info and adds/updates a contact in my lead connector.

It first checks to see if there is a duplicate email, then adds a new contact.
I’m also asking zap to add a tag ‘substack subscriber’ to the CRM contact.

Not too crazy right?

Well, I cannot get Gmail to foward to the email parser address. I think it’s because Gmail sees the long alphanumeric parser email as spam.

I don’t know.

Any help will be appreciated. I’m exhausted mentally, so I have to rest now.

Hi @Pretty City Ryno,

Welcome to the Community.

To troubleshoot the issues with Zapier Email Parser and Gmail, add the Zapier Email Parser address to your Gmail contacts to prevent emails from being marked as spam. To do this, go to Gmail's Contacts section, add a new contact with the parser address, and save it. If you encounter the "You have reached a limit for sending mail" error, note that Gmail imposes daily limits (500 emails for regular accounts, 2000 for G Suite). If you haven't exceeded this limit, it may be a temporary issue,
