Question

GivingFire Zap to Keap isn't triggering, even though tests are passing

Zapier tests are running fine, zap is enabled, no error messages. Everything looks great from the Zapier side, but zap never triggers and test run does not show under Zap Runs. Anyone ever make a successful connection from GivingFire > Create Contact/Tag in Keap?

Hi @EricaZ

Good question.

To help us have more context, please post detailed screenshots with how your Zap steps are configured.

Happy to. Here are the basic configurations:

Each step shows successful connection + test:

The test record IS added to Keap + tag applied, however, there have been 10+ new donations in GivingFire since this connection was published, and none of the new donors contacts have been added to Keap + Tagged as a donor.

Did you properly configure the Zap trigger as per this help article from GivingFire?

Yes! I have double-checked all settings. Access Token Status = Active.

Did you configure the webhook in GivingFuel?

  • Finally, if you're using GivingFire as the trigger (as opposed to an action) you'll receive a webhook URL. Copy this URL.
    save image
  • Create a webhook inside GivingFire for the same action you selected in Zapier, and paste the URL into the HTTP POST field. You can use customizations inside GivingFire notifications to further customize your trigger - for example, only send new transactions if they're $1000 or over. For more on customizing triggers, see Setting Up Instant Notifications/Webhooks in our KnowledgeBase.

Yes. Webhook has been added and is “active” status

If the Zap trigger step is not firing, then it could be due to:

  1. Misconfigured webhook/permissions/settings in GivingFuel
  2. Incorrect testing in GivingFuel
  3. Backend issue with GivingFuel firing webhooks

GivingFuel is the owner of their Zap app integration, so you would need to reach out to GivingFuel Support for help.

Thanks Troy - done and done. Hopefully they will respond to find resolve. Appreciate your assistance.
