Hi!

I am trying to send an mp4 file from Dropbox to OpenAI for getting its transcription (this Zap -- https://zapier.com/apps/dropbox/integrations/dropbox/1252350/create-transcripts-of-audio-files-with-openais-whisper) and I get “Failed to create a transcription in OpenAI (GPT-3, DALL-E, Whisper) The app returned "invalid_request_error".”

I’ve tried all possible options in Action -> File field, but it does not work. I also tried to use another file, or even Google drive instead of Dropbox the result is the same: "invalid_request_error".

I attach the screenshots, hope it will help to detect the problem.

Hi @sun-arc

Good question.

The File field expects a file object or a file url (public direct download link) instead of a File Name.

Thank you @Troy Tessalone ,  I tried all options including “File (Exists but not shown)” and “Share link: ...” but the result is the same. I attach new screenshots

@sun-arc

Make sure to refresh the trigger example data before testing step 2.

The File (exists but not shown) is a temp file that expires.

@Troy Tessalone

I’ve refreshed the trigger field, it does not help :(

@sun-arc

Is the trigger step example file an audio or video file as indicated in the File field description?

Screenshots from the Zap trigger step with the DATA OUT will be helpful to provide us more context.

@Troy Tessalone

Yes, the example file is mp4. I attach screenshots of the trigger field.

@sun-arc

Do you have a billing payment method connected to OpenAI?

@Troy Tessalone

Yes, I have one of my cards added as a payment method and my OpenAI account has about 10 dollars.

@sun-arc

OpenAI status page indicates recent issues, which may be impacting what you were testing.

Have you tried testing again from end-to-end?
