I have multiple Zaps that execute based on a Jotform “New Submission” (Instant) trigger event. In preparation to go “live” with my integration in my client’s account, we have been doing a lot of testing — yesterday (10/8) we did 20 different Jotform form submissions; however, literally zero form submissions are present for 10/8 when I click “Find new records.” Up until today, I have always been able to retrieve “live” form submissions when I click “Find new records”. Can someone please help identify the root cause?

Hi there, Welcome to the Community! 👋

It is likely that there are some missing permissions on the connected account, or that it was connected with the wrong field selections (such as connecting as a HIPAA-enabled account when it isn’t, or the other way around). The same can happen if the selection for the Do You Use European Datacenters? field was incorrect when creating the account connection in the Zap.

I would recommend:

  1. Creating a new account connection after checking the Jotform settings and selecting the right answer to these questions
  2. Then, reconfigure the step and re-test it
  3. If after the above, samples still don’t load, feel free to open up a ticket at zapier.com/get-help, making sure you reach out with the email that is connected to the Zapier account

I hope this helps!

Hi @tuck9

Try this trick: Use previous Zap runs as trigger test records

Hi @Marge — thanks for following up so quickly! In this case, the Jotform account (trigger) did not change. The fact that the form submissions (for “Find new records”) are showing up as expected for Oct. 7, Oct. 9, but not Oct. 8 for the same form, makes me wonder whether this might be more than an account connection issue.

@Troy Tessalone slick! That works! I will use that for now as a workaround to dive down on the error I am trying to troubleshoot for Oct. 8. Thank you so much!
