Question

"Failed to find or create a database item" error messages when using filter conditions in Notion with Zapier

I keep getting errors for about half of my steps saying….. “Failed to find or create a database item in Notion Nothing to search with. Please make sure at least one search field has a value.”

I have a Filter conditions saying only continue if “does not exist” before each step...why are some working and others not?

(zapping for google forms to notions )

Hi @APPHOTOGRAPHY

Help us have more info by posting screenshots showing how your Zap step is configured in the CONFIGURE tab while in EDIT mode with the field mappings visible.

Thank you for your help @Troy Tessalone I think this is what you are looking for but am not sure… sorry if I am understanding incorrectly.

@Troy Tessalone - I made the test live and its still stopping if there is no info in the filled - I want to to continue if no info given.

Example Zap Run was filtered in Step 3 because the filter conditions were not met.
The field had a value, thus the condition field value “does not exist” was not met.

Hi @Troy Tessalone - I have try this as does no exist and does exist….I dont see an option as ALWAYS like I would like it to be...Please see option below  - What should I pick? My client may or may not have info for these fields but I need the zap to keep running if they do or not.

@Troy Tessalone

This is a 79 step zap! lol I know its alot - It bring in vendor info for about 20-25 vendors Should I make this in to a zap for each vendor? and if they dont give that vendors info the zap will just not run for the vendors zap? I was just trying to keep my zap count down. I am correct in thinking that if I do it all in one zap it counts as one instead of 20-25 zaps?

# of Zaps does not matter as all Zapier plans have unlimited Zaps.

Zaps are a trigger + action steps.

It’s the # of Tasks used in Zap Runs.

Info about how Tasks are counted in Zap Runs: https://help.zapier.com/hc/en-us/articles/8496196837261-How-is-task-usage-measured-in-Zapier
