Failed to Create Zap Template - uses restricted app (on Free Trial Plan)

I’m on the Free Trial plan, trying to share a Zap, and so I went to create a template from it so that I could share the link.

But when I click the “create template” option, I get the following error:
“Failed to Create Zap Template - uses restricted app”

See this image:

The apps I’m using are:

  • Paths
  • Email by Zapier
  • Delay by Zapier

Could someone advise on this? From my digging into other articles, I think the ‘Paths’ app could be the culprit since I’m on a Free Trial plan?

UPDATE: Even after upgrading to a Pro plan, I still can’t share the zap by creating a template from it. 😣

We are having the same problem here. Unable to share the zap or create a template from it.

Hi there, @t_s_works and @nr2411! 👋

From my digging into other articles, I think the ‘Paths’ app could be the culprit since I’m on a Free Trial plan?

I think you’re right on that! Looking at the limitations section of the Share a template of your Zap guide it looks like it’s the Paths app that’s preventing it from being shared:

@nr2411, are you also using Paths in the Zap you’re wanting to share a template of?
