Hi there @Symph,

Welcome to the Community! 🎉

Before we dig deeper into this, could you please try reconnecting your Buffer account here: https://zapier.com/app/connections/buffer. If you have multiple Buffer connections kindly delete them and add a new connection.

Please keep us posted! 😊

Hi @ken.a , I tried doing that but it still doesn’t work. I displays the same error message.

Hi @Symph,

Thanks for giving that a try!

I'm sorry that I couldn't help you with this issue. The best course of action now is to contact our Support team by opening a ticket. They will be able to investigate the problem more thoroughly by looking into the logs of your Zap and identify what might be causing the issue.

You can reach our Support team here: https://zapier.com/app/get-help

Thank you for understanding.

Was there resolve to this issue? I’ve been searching for an answer as well. I have the same problem. Discord > Buffer “Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'ext')”

Hi @TheFancySnarks,

My hunch here is that this has something to do with the file extension. It's possible the files no longer exist - or the links no longer work to open the actual image files.

Hopefully, this helps. 😊

If somebody is still encountering this issue, I have found a solution that worked for me:

when sending an image url to zapier, the extension must be present in the url sent in order for it to work, for example:

https://placehold.co/600x400 will throw the error mentioned

https://my-site.com/image.png will work (as long as the image is _publicly_ accessible)

hope that helps the next person, I spent about 20 minutes testing all sorts of things while the image url was the problem for me

Hi @Matt_os,

Just wanted to drop a quick thank you for sharing your solution to the issue in this thread. It's really going to be a big help to everyone in our Community.

So glad you circled back to post this – really appreciate it!

FWIW I am having this issue despite having a file extension at the end

Hi there @CommunityUser00,

Could you please send a screenshot of the “Action” section of your Buffer action step? This will help me get more context about the issue you’re running into.

Thanks!
