I am trying to create a trigger from a google spreadsheet.  

The spreadsheet row is updated and I would like this to trigger creating a new project using a template in basecamp 3.  

However, when I try to choose a template in the action. It says

Unable to load choices
We're having trouble loading 'Template' data. The app returned "Forbidden".

 

Just seeing as well, I’m also noticing that even when I try to create a project in basecamp from the new row in the google sheet - even without a template - I am getting the error

Failed to create a create project in Basecamp 3

The app returned "Forbidden".

 

I also get the same error when I try to create a basecamp project - even when the trigger is through another app such as Dubsado

 

Please advise?

  • Paid/versioned account: Paid
  • Custom field support: No

Project is not showing up on the dropdown options

Do you have a Basecamp 3 paid plan?

Has the Basecamp 3 account that is connected to Zapier been added/invited to the Basecamp 3 project?

Hi @Ward 

There are two things that could cause the app to return “Forbidden”.

  • To be able to use Basecamp 3, a paid account is required for integration.
  • You should allow Zapier to access Basecamp 3

I don’t have a trial version of basecamp.  but I do have basecamp for education.  but when I contacted basecamp help they said that I should be able to integrate with zapier
