Facebook pages not available to select in Create Page Post action

Hi Zapier Support,

I'm setting up a Zap to automatically post new DropInBlog blog posts to my Facebook Business Page (XXXX XXXX XXXXXX XXXXXXX), but I'm stuck on the Configure step.

Here is my situation:
- The Zap is: DropInBlog "Post Published" → Facebook Pages "Create Page Post"
- My Facebook account (XXXXXXXXXXXX@XXXXXXX.com) is connected and authorized
- During Facebook authorization, I selected XXXX XXXX XXXXXX XXXXXXX (Page ID: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX)
- The connection shows as successful in the Setup tab

The problem:
When I click the Page dropdown in the Configure tab, I get "No options are available" and 0 results load. I have tried:
1. Refreshing the field
2. Disconnecting and reconnecting my Facebook account
3. Creating a new connection (#2) with only the XXXX XXXX page selected
4. All three attempts result in the same "No options are available" message

Additional context:
- I manage multiple Facebook pages (XXXX XXXX XXXXXX XXXXXXX, XXXX XX XXXXXX XXXXXXXX XXXXXXX, XXXXX XXXX XXXX)
- These pages are connected to my personal Facebook profile (XXXX XXXXX)
- I am the Admin of the XXXX XXXX XXXXXX XXXXXXXX page

Questions:
1. Can you confirm whether entering the Page ID (XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX) manually as a Custom value will work as a reliable workaround?
2. Is there a known issue with pages managed through a personal profile admin not populating in the dropdown?
3. Is there anything on the Facebook Business Manager permissions side I need to adjust to make the page appear?

Thank you!

Hi @yogabilly,

Great question, and thanks for all the detail—it really helps.

1. Entering the Page ID manually as a custom value
Yes, that will work reliably. In the Page dropdown, choose "Custom" and paste your Page ID (XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX). The Zap should post without issues. Just note that if you ever reconnect your Facebook account, you may need to re-enter the ID.

2. Known issue with personal profile admin pages?
Not a known bug, but it's common. The dropdown relies on Facebook's API returning the pages your connected account can post to. If it's empty, the connection likely lacks the correct permissions (pages_manage_posts and pages_read_engagement) or the page isn't fully visible to the token.

3. Business Manager permissions
This is likely the root cause. Even if you're an admin in Business Manager, your personal profile (XXXX XXXXX) needs to be a direct Page Admin on the page itself.

  • Go to the page > Settings > Page Roles and confirm your personal account is listed as Admin or Editor.

  • Alternatively, when reconnecting in Zapier, choose "Connect a Business Manager" instead of your personal profile—this often resolves the dropdown issue.

Quick workaround: Use the Page ID as a custom value to get your Zap running now. For a permanent fix, double-check the direct page role and try reconnecting via Business Manager.

Hope that helps! Let us know if manually entering the ID works for you.
