Hello! I’m super new to Zapier (and automation in general), but have successfully created my first few basic zaps so I’m getting better each day but I’m stuck and cannot import data into EZLynx by creating commercial prospects or creating commercial applicants/opportunities. I keep getting the following error:

Failed to create a commercialprospect in EZLynx

I created a form on Zapier interfaces to collect lead information, I am storing the collected data in a Zapier table that is formatted to exactly match the Ezlynx commercial prospect import template and I’m using the prebuilt Zapier template to create a commercial prospect in EZLynx. 

Do I need to use the Formatter by Zapier App to change the data in my table prior to mapping the fields in the configure step? I double checked that my connection to EZLynx is good and I verified with EZLynx that Zapier is enabled in SalesCenter. I can’t think of anything else I could be doing wrong.

Help us have more info by posting these screenshots:

  • how your Zap steps are outlined
  • how your Zap steps are configured in EDIT mode with the field mappings visible
  • the encountered error in the Zap step

Hi Troy! Here are the screenshots you requested. I also included a screenshot of the area in ezlynx that I am trying to apply this zap to - I think the error may be coming from the List Name that EZLynx requires. When mapping the fields, there is no field in the Zapier step for the list name. Do you think this could be the culprit? Thanks so much for your help!!

 

 


I should mention that I also tried to create a new applicant/opportunity in EZLynx and am having the same issue with the Lead Channel ID or Lead Channel Name error. I read through the EZLynx API information and it got pretty detailed into webhooks and requesting and sending the IDs, which I conceptually understand but have zero experience in actually doing. Since EZLynx is a supported Zapier app and this automation template was prebuilt I’m really hoping I don’t have to get into the webhook stuff. 🤞

You may want to try reaching out to EZLynx Support for help with their Zap app integration.


EZLynx API endpoint documentation shows a field for LeadChannelID, so that may be configured on the backend of the EZLynx Zap action, and may be a bug.

Unfortunately Zapier Customer Support was not very helpful. They basically repeated what the troubleshooting said in the zap error and then directed me to EZLynx Support. See below screenshot of the response.
