Hello! I'm just starting to use Zapier Central, and I'm really excited about it—it’s such a great tool!

However, I'm encountering some issues when I ask Central to update values in Google Sheets.

Attached is an example: I asked Central to update the stock quantity of the Printer (ID 12). The current stock is 400, and I told Central that 200 had been sold, so it should update the quantity on the sheet. But in cell E13, instead of updating to "200", it wrote "Stock - 200". Additionally, I also requested it to update the date and time of the last update, and it did write something similar as my prompt in cell B13. My prompts were in Spanish.

Could anyone help me figure this out? Could it be an issue with the language (Spanish), the sync timing, incorrect prompting, a configuration issue, or is it simply because Central is still in beta and under development?

I really appreciate your time and support.

I ask to add a new product, and it seems fine, but it didnt write the ID, so i ask Central to update the Id, it did it, BUT in column C it wrote my prompt and erase the description… here attached is the problem…

Could anyone please help me?? =)

Thkssss

Hi @FranciscoIEBSA, welcome to the Community! 🎉

Can you share some screenshots showing the setup of the action behaviour in Central that should be updating the Google Sheet? Make sure to blur or remove all personal information (names, emails, addresses etc.) from screenshots before sharing.

That’ll help us get a better idea of what might be preventing it from updating the rows as expected. Thanks, I look forward to your reply!

Hi @SamB =)

Attached are the images of my prompt and of the action.

Do you think the problem is because of a setup missing?

If you need more info please tell me, i hope it helps!!

Thkssss!!!!

Hi @FranciscoIEBSA 👋

Thanks for sending over those screenshots, it’s much appreciated! I think you might need to add an additional behaviour action to allow it to find rows and update the instructions to get it working as expected.

I did some testing in my own account and was able to get it working by setting up two behaviour actions - a Lookup Spreadsheet Row action to find the relevant row and an Update Spreadsheet Row action to update it:

Can you give that approach a try and let me know if that gives better results?
