Question

Error when trying to Append Entry from e-mail in Digest

I have a simple Zap that is supposed to add the text of new emails as entries in a Digest, then release the Digest to ChatGPT at a set time (10am in this specific run), and send the summary to another email afterwards.

See the flow below.

But I keep getting the error: shown further down: (“Halted Exception: A Different task is scheduled to resume...”)

Note: I had sent two e-mails to the gmail account to test it with a few minutes between them.

The Digest setup is shown furthest down. I simply can’t figure out what is happening, and I will really appreciate your help in solving this.

Thanks.

The error indicates that your Zapier Digest is already scheduled to release at a specific time (10:00 AM UTC) and cannot accept new entries until it has been processed.

Since the error message states that a release is already scheduled for 10:00 AM UTC, wait until this time and try again after the digest has been released.

The issue occurs because Zapier does not allow multiple scheduled releases for the same digest at the same time. You either need to wait for the scheduled release, manually release it, or use a different digest name to avoid conflicts.

Thanks a lot for your answer. But I thought it was possible to keep appending to the digest until release time?

I realise there seems to be an error in the documentation. It says to map the field Current Digest. But In fact it is the field List that needs to be mapped.

Hi @Leif Lauridsen,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I apologize for any confusion caused by the error in the documentation. We strive to keep our guides as accurate and helpful as possible, and we appreciate your feedback.

You're correct that you should map the "List" field when setting up your Zap in most cases. The "Current Digest" field is typically used in different scenarios.

Hi Leif, thank you for noticing that.  I was unclear if I should be using the current digest or the list, and I will try the list.  I have also been running into the exact same issue with the Halted Exception in my Digests and I am trying to work through it.
