Error updating Notion events to Microsoft Outlook calendar. Does it require paid Notion version to update events?

I

I have a Notion account where I log tasks and events. Notion is connected to Outlook. If I create an event in Notion, the event is zapped to the Outlook calendar. If I update an event on Notion, Zapier throws an error and I get an email message sent to me.

My question is, do I have to have the paid version of Notion to create a zap to update events? Thank you.

Before we dig deeper into this, would you mind sharing a detailed screenshot of how your Zap is configured? Also, the “Action” section of the action step.This will give me a better understanding of the situation. Here's an example of what I'm looking for:

Ken, thanks for the reply. Here is a pic. There is no option to update an event, only to create a new event.

It’s likely the Outlook API would have to be used to update an event.

Hi @ironwerx,

Unfortunately, the “Update Event” action for the Microsoft Outlook integration is not available at the moment. That said, I have added you as another interested member to our open feature request for the “Update Event in Microsoft Outlook”. That does a few things:

  • Bring this to the attention of the integration developers
  • Help track interest in this feature being implemented
  • Allows us to notify you via email if this feature becomes available in the future

While I don't have an ETA on when this feature might be implemented, we will notify you via email if it is!

This action can be used in your Zaps, with a Find Calendar Event (Microsoft Outlook) search action to find and update events in your Microsoft Outlook calendar. 😁🎉
