Hey everyone

I’ve been trying to connect Nas.io with Zapier, but I keep running into the same authentication error even after following all the troubleshooting steps.

Here’s a quick summary of what I’ve done so far:

  • Followed all the steps shared by Nas.io Support (pop-ups allowed, cleared cache, tried incognito mode, verified permissions, etc.)

  • Logged in with the same email used to create the Nas.io community

  • Tried connecting from multiple browsers and devices

  • Other Zaps (non–Nas.io) are working fine — so the issue seems isolated to Nas.io

  • Error still says: “Authentication failed: Make sure you click ‘Allow’ or ‘Accept’ on the permission popup.”

  • Nas.io support suggested reaching out to Zapier, as it might be related to their side of the integration

Would appreciate any help or insights from the community or Zapier team on how to fix this connection issue

Hi @John Steve

TIP to try:

FYI:

  • Most Zap app integrations are created and managed by the app developer using the Zapier Developer Platform.
  • Zapier owns only a small subset of the ~9k Zap app integrations.
  • If there is an authentication issue, then it may be up to Nas to fix in their Zap app integration.

You can try reaching out to Zapier Support via a ticket here: https://zapier.com/app/get-help

Hey @John Steve, welcome to the Community! 🎉

Looks like you reached out to our Support team and they identified the cause of those errors. Not sure if you’ve seen their reply yet, but wanted to share the main details from it here in case it’s helpful to you or others coming across a similar issue in the future:

I checked our logs and found the specific error that's causing your authentication problem:

{
"errorCode": -1,
"errorMessage": "Username or password is invalid",
"error": "Error",
"message": "Username or password is invalid"
}

This error indicates that the credentials being used during the authentication process aren't being accepted by nas.io's system. Since the nas.io integration is owned and maintained by nas.io themselves (not Zapier), this appears to be an response from their servers once we send the request.

Here's what I'd recommend:
  1. Double-check your credentials - Try entering your nas.io username and password again, making sure there are no typos or extra spaces
  2. Contact nas.io support directly - If the issue persists after verifying your credentials, you'll want to share this specific error message with nas.io's team so they can investigate and help resolve.

Keep us posted on how you get on with this, want to make sure it gets sorted 🙂
