Today we changed the fire we attach to Zapier email we sent out in a Zap. Before it worked fine. After we switched the file/link the mail is sent but the zip file is broken and can be opened by any email program.

We tried different things like changing the file. Nothing works anymore. Any linked zip attachment from the dropbox. Files in the dropbox were fine. As soon as we attach it to the mail, the data is broken.

Same for zip, pdf ...

Does somebody know how to fix this?

Hi @Rene-D

Help link about the Dropbox file link format to use for direct download links:

Help links about sending files in Zaps: https://help.zapier.com/hc/en-us/articles/8496288813453

For us to have more info, post screenshots showing how your Zap steps are outlined and configured in the CONFIGURE tab while in EDIT mode with the field mappings visible.

It worked before, but now nothing works anymore.

What do you think we did wrong?

@Rene-D

The link you provided is a link to a VIEW page for the Dropbox file with: &dl=0

As indicated in the provided help link you need to use a link with: &dl=1

Interessting. I’m confused, cause we didn’t need to set this. It was by default.

Thanks a lot for your fast replay and your help.
