Hello everyone, i’m new to zapier can someone please help. I created a zap to import my database from notion into my google sheet. That works perfectly. But now, i’ve been trying to create another zap that lets me update this spreadsheet but i keep running into issues, i’ve tried to use a line itemiser formatter but i either don’t understand what i am doing or it’s not possible with my database, All the steps seem to be working except the update spreadsheet rows, the problem seems to be the row id but i chose an Id from notion that is unique to each row so i don’t understand what i am doing wrong. I have attached pictures of my workspace and the error message i get when i run a test during the spreadsheet stage

Hi @Keji

The GSheet Row Number expects the number for the Row you want to update.

e.g. If you want to update Row 5, then the Row Number expects a value of: 5

TIP: Click the field label to see a tooltip with more info.

You may need to add another Zap step: GSheets - Lookup Row

This will return 2 data points you can use as variables for the Row Number field:

  • Row
  • ID

Both will have the same value.

Thank you @Troy Tessalone . I want to update multiple rows, would i need to do the Lookup Row zap step. If so do you know they offer that on the free plan.

@Keji

Zaps with 3+ steps require a Zapier paid plan.

If you are trying to lookup 2+ rows, then use this Zap action: GSheets - Lookup Rows

If you are trying to update 2+ rows, then use this Zap action: GSheets - Update Rows

If you are trying to iterate thru each row, then use this Zap action: Looping
