Hi, I am new to Zapier. We got it for our small company which does not have much software experience. I am trying to set up a Zap for our ERP Deskera.

 

Context:

We gather data for new vendors to generate a unique code for them and reject any duplicates with Zoho Forms. The form is structured in a way that when we export the excel file, it can be directly uploaded to Deskera and the vendors get added to Contacts via the import excel option. Since we have about 10 accounts on Deskera, this exercise is manually executed 10 times for new vendors. Additionally, same is repeated for new products via the same process.

 

Issue: 

The inbuilt trigger and actions for Deskera do not map all the fields. A lot of details collected - tax treatment, tax ID, Location, etc do not get mapped if I directly use Zoho Form as a trigger and Deskera “Add Contact” as an action. 

 

So, I am trying to use Webhooks to take the data from Zoho Forms and send it Deskera API. However, the Zap is giving up errors and I am not able to make sense of them as I am not well versed in software. Earlier, it was giving authentication error but now it is showing that the user credentials are wrong, when it is not the case. The Deskera team is not that helpful and they are choosing to go with: “we promised nothing beyond selling the subscription”. Since it is an ERP and our company’s entire finances depend on it, we are stuck without getting to change them.

 

If someone here has an experience or guidance for my issue, it would be of immense help to us. How do I set up the Zaps via this route?

For us to have more info, post screenshots showing how your Zap steps are outlined and configured in EDIT mode with the field mappings along with the encountered error.

Hi Jammer, I had a software developer look at my problem. He informed me that the issue lies on the API end of Deskera, and not Zapier. Zapier Support has raised the feature request with Deskera team and that’s the most we can do for now.

Have stepped back from utilizing Zap for this purpose until we hear from Deskera.
