Hi, I have a critical bug in my Zap editor. Data from my trigger (Step 1) and my first action (Step 2) is not being passed to my second action (Step 3). My Zap is: 1. Trigger: Webhooks by Zapier (Catch Hook) 2. Action: Google AI Studio (Send Prompt) 3. Action: Google Sheets (Create Spreadsheet Row) The problem is in Step 3. I am trying to map data from the previous steps into the sheet. - A static variable (like the current time) works perfectly. - But the data from Step 1 (Raw Body) and Step 2 (Response) arrives as EMPTY. The cells in my Google Sheet remain blank. I have spent hours troubleshooting this and have tried EVERYTHING: - Reloading the page, clearing cache, using incognito mode. - Deleting and recreating the action steps multiple times. - Re-testing the trigger to pull new, fresh sample data. - The UI data picker is broken for me. It does not show the nested fields (like "Raw Body"). - We tried manually typing the variables (e.g., {{1__raw_body}}), but the data still arrives as empty. - We used the Zapier Copilot AI. It also failed to fix the mapping. - Finally, I PUBLISHED the Zap and ran a live test. The live run has the exact same error: only the timestamp is written, the data from steps 1 & 2 is lost. This proves it is a persistent bug in the Zap editor for my account. The data flow between steps is broken. I am completely blocked and need an engineer to look at my Zap. Please help. Thank you.

You need to add Node Id while manual mapping just {{1__raw_body}} will not work. See more about it in the article to understand more in detail. Hope it helps!

I was able to use it to submit a detailed support ticket with all the troubleshooting steps we've tried. The issue is now with the Zapier technical support team. - how your Zap steps are outlined in order
- how your Zap steps are configured in the CONFIGURE tab while in EDIT mode with the field mappings visible so we can see the field types
- any encountered Zap step errors
Thank you very much for reaching out and for your willingness to help. I saw your request for more screenshots. However, after many hours of intensive troubleshooting, we have concluded that there is a persistent, deep-seated bug in the Zap editor for my account that we cannot solve from the user side. We tried every possible solution (reloading, incognito, rebuilding steps, re-testing triggers, manual variable mapping, etc.), but the data flow between the steps remained broken. Due to these technical roadblocks, I have decided to switch to a different integration platform for this specific project to move forward. Therefore, no further help is needed on this topic. Thank you again to you and the community for the time and suggestions.

I know how much time and effort troubleshooting can take and understand your decision to switch platforms. That said, I wanted to share the Support team’s suggestion here in case it helps anyone else who runs into similar issues in the future:
I do see that the Webhook step is not loading samples, which makes it difficult to map subsequent steps. In such cases, there is a handy feature "Use Zap run as sample record" where you can use a live Zap run as a sample record, and use that to configure your Zap correctly. You would first need to publish your Zap with dummy data for the purpose of triggering it live once, then using that Zap run as a sample.
