I’m trying to create a Zap to create estimates in QBO. I can get it to create one, but I’m having two problems:

  1. The Customer field has two options: Static and Custom. Static doesn’t do me a lot of good as most new estimates will be for a different, or at times new to us/QBO, client. For my test Zap i have a current client name in the sheet it’s pulling from, but when I test it it gives me an error. I also tried with a name not currently in QBO and it does the same thing. What can I do to fix this?
  2. I have my Product/service list in QBO set up so that one of my Product/services has a bunch of “hidden” (to the client) things under it. We enter estimate/invoice details in the hidden Product/services, and then they roll up to a Product/service called Bundle. Neither the hidden nor the bundle are showing up in Zapier on the list it’s pulling from QBO. All other Product/services are showing up. Is there a way to get the hidden ones to who up, and roll up into the Bundle?

Generally speaking, screenshots go a very long way. It’s be great if you could include some.

To answer part of point number one, you’ll want to use dynamic names instead of static. But you’ll have to get those names somehow in an earlier step. — If you’re getting errors, you’ll have to tell us which error and where. Again, screenshots would be magic here.

For number two, if those fields aren’t being pulled in, it probably means QBO hasn’t exposed them in their zap-app. Are there any other QBO actions you could try by using that same product/service to see if the fields are pulled in then?

Otherwise, you may have to try pull them directly from the QBO API and see if they show up then.
