Creating a new customer in QuickBooks Online with Zapier: Email and other fields not populating

Working on Voice to Invoice with Zapier and ChatGPT. I’ve broken down the speech to text into categories that break out: Name, Address, Phone Number, Email and further the product and description with subtotals and totals. 


I’ve made it to the point where Zapier can find or create a new customer, but when I create the new customer, none of the fields like email, phone, address are being entered properly. Just the full name.

Any Ideas? I’m happy to show images if required. I’m new to Zapier, so still very much learning!

Hi ​@AaronZ 

For us to have more info, post screenshots showing:

  • how your Zap steps are outlined
  • how your Zap steps are configured in EDIT mode with the field mappings visible
  • DATA OUT from the Zap steps before the QBO step

Just came across this and wanted to check on your progress. I can’t see any screenshots shared here, so were you since able to get this solved? If so, we’d love it if you could share some details on how you fixed it. If would really help out other folks that might be having a similar issue 🙏

And if not, can you share some screenshots as Troy mentioned so we can take a closer look into what might be preventing all the fields from being populated - be sure to use a tool like Zappy to remove any personal info (names, emails, addresses etc.) before sharing as this is a public space.
