Hi all,

We have an issue where we have a Zap that automates responses from one of our clients and then sends a ticket into our Zendesk platform. However, everytime we try to turn the Zap on (as it randomly turned off) after refreshing, it will not remain on.

I have attached a screenshot of an error we have noticed in the Zap itself, but unsure how to overcome this message in order to get the Zap to stay on. We are on the professional plan.

Any help would be appreciated.

Many thanks,

Hi @CTS

Good question.

Make sure to check the help articles related to each app being used in the Zaps.

https://zapier.com/help/troubleshoot/behavior/cant-turn-on-or-publish-zap

Make sure you are using the most recent version of the Zap app.

If you still need help, consider opening a ticket with Zapier Support: https://zapier.com/app/get-help

Trouble connecting Zendesk Account/Authorization Failed

Failed attempts to connect your Zendesk account to Zapier are usually because the account being connected isn't an admin account inside of Zendesk.
You'll need to make sure you're connecting using a Zendesk user who is also an administrator for this to work.

It is also possible you have API access disabled inside Zendesk.
To turn it on, go to your API Channel Settings (Channels > API) and enable the API.

Hey there @CTS

Sorry to hear about the bother here,

In this case I think it would be helpful to get in touch with Zapier Support: https://zapier.com/app/get-help

When you see a Zap being turned off like this it is likely we will be able to see an exact reason in the logs, some errors aren't shown in your Zap history as they aren't related to a Zap run.

If you already got to the bottom of the problem perhaps you could share the solution here in case anyone stumbles across this thread in the future?

Hey folks! Just closing the loop on this thread with the solution provided by our support team:

I took a look at our logs, and the reason that Zap keeps turning off is due to an error we're getting back from Google Forms when trying to access that Form ID you're using on it: "The caller does not have permission"

So it sounds like your Google account may not own or have the proper permissions to access that spreadsheet. Either that, or the ID of that spreadsheet has changed, and the custom one you're using is no longer valid.

If that's the case, you'll then need to re-select the properly spreadsheet in that trigger step:

Once you've selected a valid spreadsheet again, try and turn this Zap back on.
