Question

Cannot find records to test trigger and invite a user (not existing) to join Slack channel

I am trying to create an automation where if we add a new contact to a List, that contact will automatically be added to a Slack Channel. Here are my issues:

  1. I’ve set up Brevo trigger (Contact Subscribed to Specific List in Brevo)  but when I get to the testing part, it doesn't load the newly added contact. It loaded a different email address that's not on the list.
  2. The new contact is not an existing user in the Slack workspace, so the Invite user to Channel option will not work.

I don’t know what to do to fix these. Thank you.

Hi @KateG

Some Zaps only return representative example data for the Zap trigger step so you can configure the Zap action steps.

Try turning the Zap ON and testing live.

Then check your Zap Runs history to see the DATA IN/OUT for each step to help you troubleshoot: https://zapier.com/app/history/
