Cannot connect my Facebook Lead Ads account to Zapier

Hi Zapier Support Team,

I’m having trouble connecting my Facebook account (Facebook Lead Ads) to Zapier. I’ve followed the setup steps and searched through articles/forums, but I’m still getting an error during the connection process and can’t complete the integration.

Could you please help me troubleshoot and get the connection working?

Here’s what I can provide if needed:

  • The exact error message/screenshot

  • The Zap link (or Zap ID)

  • My Facebook Business/Ad Account details (ID)

  • The app/event I’m using (Facebook Lead Ads → New Lead)

Thanks in advance—I'm new to this and would really appreciate step-by-step guidance.

Sorry to hear that you’re getting an error when attempting to connect your Facebook account. Is the Facebook account a standard account or a Business Admin? Asking as there are two versions of the app available: Facebook Lead Ads and Facebook Lead Ads (for Business admins). So if the wrong app for the account type is being used then that might be what’s causing the error.

If it’s not that, can you send over a screenshot of the error you’re seeing? Seeing the full error message would be super helpful to us in figuring out why it’s not working. Please hide/obscure any personal info from screenshots (you can use a tool like Zappy for that) and never share any Zap links/IDs here as this is a public space.

Please provide screenshots of Data In, Data out as well how each Zap step is configured for us to have more context.

Thanks for the fast reply! I was able to complete the manage pages, and lead access portion of the permissions. I’m slightly confused on the manage Ad account portion. Who or what am I adding there? This is the Screen shot of the error I keep receiving. It happens at the very end after it says that I’ve connected. I’m also using Facebook Lead Ads (for Business admins).  Thank you for the help!

For Facebook Lead Ads (for Business admins), try these-

Make sure to add you page to a business portfolio and then your facebook account to that business portfolio. Hope it helps!
