Hello everyone, so I've made an automation that can create a AI generated reply to any new emails. Then I created a template and shared to one of my friend. After sharing, I opened the link to check if it works but when I opened all the inputs or the prompts for AI, formatter and gmail was clean and I have to fill it up again. I have created it so that it provides the reply when the user puts his email id and the user didn't have to set all the things up by himself. But when I opened the link that I send to him, the workflow was there but the part where we need to choose or put some variables were clean. Can't understand why could anyone help me out on it plz 🥺

Hi @Hrishi,

Welcome to the Community.

For security reasons, Shared Zaps do not include personal data or specific account details but retain the overall structure and steps. Recipients must input their details to customize the Zap. Consider providing a guide with instructions on required inputs and setup details to make the process easier.

I understand this might not be the solution you hoped for, but I hope this clarifies why the shared Zap behaves this way. If you have any other questions or need further assistance, please don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks for ur warm welcome @JammerS.

Also thx to let me know. However, it's not just about the personal details but the prompt/instructions that I wrote for the AI was also not there. Some places where there's no personal details and just options to choose was also not there/clean. Could u specify y it's happening?

Hi there, @Hrishi 👋

The Zap template feature is designed to share a basic outline of your Zap’s steps. It’s expected that when a template is shared, others will need to connect their own accounts and fill in the details for each step so the setup works for their use case—see our Share a template of your Zap guide to learn more.

Templates aren’t intended to share an exact copy of a Zap with the all same accounts, field values and settings maintained. That level of sharing is only possible on Zapier’s Team or Enterprise plans, where you can duplicate a Zap and share it with a teammate.

Hope that helps to clarify why the prompt/instructions weren’t copied over in the template. If you have any more questions or need help with anything else, just let us know!

Thx a lot for that

Thank you for Sam for clarifying this to our member. This will significantly help our Community members to have as a reference for the same issue.

You’re welcome, @Hrishi! Always happy to help 🤗
