Hi @nzer1

Good question.

We would need to see screenshots with how your Zap steps are configured along with the error.

I just want to learn the technique. Of saving a version. So I attach a screenshot of an example. I want to make the words in the box “When you shop”

To create a new Zap version:

  1. Click Edit in the top menu.
  2. Edit your Zap.
  3. When you’re done, click Publish in the top menu to publish the new version of your Zap.

when I do 2. all good but the Publish button is unavailable

The Publish button at the top right will be enabled if there are edits to push live.

I’m still unclear about what your issue is.

In the screenshots it shows v6 as ON, then updates, then v7 as ON

You can see Zap versions on the left rail.

okidoki,

  1. in this zap there is lots of code and text. but to learn I want to change “To shop” to “When you shop” 2nd line in body
  2. click EDIT and turn OFF
  3. made the edit
  4. click PUBLISH  and it reverts to old version

@nzer1

You don’t have to turn a Zap OFF to edit it.

Have you tried using a new/different browser to edit the Zap?

Userlevel 1

tried another which was not better. Now this is how I go…

  1. click blue edit zap button
  2. click white “send email...” step
  3. scroll down zap to this place
  4. click blue edit zap button
  5. click blue replace button
  6. returns with the old version
