Can't move files in Google Drive based on transcript, getting 404 error

I am trying to move a file in my google drive based on the content in the transcript which is txt file. I have tried for hours to get it to work in Zapier but cannot get it to work. Has anyone successful done this? I tried using the AI classifier and using paths to move the files but cannot get it going. My last attempt kept giving me errors at the move file step giving me a 404 and I triple checked everything was correct. Please help!

Hi @hefcat

Here's the Zapier doc that might help:

Could you share screenshots of the DATA IN/OUT from your Zap's Run History (with any sensitive info hidden)? This will help folks here see what's happening at each step and troubleshoot more effectively.

Hi @hefcat

For us to have more info, post screenshots showing how your Zap steps are outlined and configured in the CONFIGURE tab, while in EDIT mode with the field mappings visible, along with the encountered error.

A 404 at the Move File step usually means Zapier can't find the file using the ID it's receiving. One thing I'd check is whether you're passing the actual Google Drive File ID and not the transcript content or filename. If the TXT file is being created in an earlier step, try adding a Find File action first and use its File ID in the Move File step.

If you're classifying the transcript with AI, another approach is to have the AI return a simple category (e.g., Invoices, Contracts, Support), then use Paths or Lookup Tables to map that category to the correct destination folder before moving the file.

If you're still stuck, I'd be happy to take a quick look at your Zap and help you troubleshoot it. Feel free to book a time here: --Link removed by moderator--
