When I started to test today, i got error 410 error when connecting to Grok using Zapier Grok X app. I am sure my API and X account are both working as I’ve tested using Postman using the same curl command.

Hi all, sharing a (belated) update on this one: the 410 error affecting the Grok app was fixed a few months ago. Sorry for the slow follow-up here!
Now that the Grok app is working as expected, the Webhooks by Zapier workaround shared previously is no longer needed. If you're still seeing any issues, try reconnecting your Grok account in Zapier. And if that doesn't resolve it, open a new topic or contact our Support team and we'll take a closer look. 🙂

410 error (or 410 Gone HTTP status code) indicates that the requested web page or resource is permanently unavailable and has been intentionally removed from the server. This is a definitive signal that the content will not return and there is no forwarding address.
For us to have more info about the error, post screenshots showing how Zap step 2 is configured in the CONFIGURE tab with the field mappings visible.

Why it’s failing:
Zapier’s Grok by xAI app is calling a deprecated xAI endpoint, which now returns 410 Gone. Your API key is fine (Postman works).
Quick fix:
Use Webhooks by Zapier → POST https://api.x.ai/v1/chat/completions with your API key.
Next:
Report it to Zapier so they update the Grok app endpoint

I did some checking and that error you mentioned is due to a bug relating to the Live Search feature which has been deprecated. I went ahead and added you to the bug report to ensure you’ll get an email notification as soon as it’s sorted.
In the meantime, did you have a chance to try drtanvisachar’s suggestion of using a Webhooks by Zapier action?
Keep us posted on how it goes when you do. Happy to lend a hand if you need any help 🙂
