Can't connect to Grok, receive error 410

When I started to test today, i got error 410 error when connecting to Grok using Zapier Grok X app. I am sure my API and X account are both working as I’ve tested using Postman using the same curl command.

I did some checking and that error you mentioned is due to a bug relating to the Live Search feature which has been deprecated. I went ahead and added you to the bug report to ensure you’ll get an email notification as soon as it’s sorted.

In the meantime, did you have a chance to try drtanvisachar’s suggestion of using a Webhooks by Zapier action

Keep us posted on how it goes when you do. Happy to lend a hand if you need any help 🙂

410 error (or 410 Gone HTTP status code) indicates that the requested web page or resource is permanently unavailable and has been intentionally removed from the server. This is a definitive signal that the content will not return and there is no forwarding address. 

 

For us to have more info about the error, post screenshots showing how Zap step 2 is configured in the CONFIGURE tab with the field mappings visible.

Why it’s failing:
Zapier’s Grok by xAI app is calling a deprecated xAI endpoint, which now returns 410 Gone. Your API key is fine (Postman works).

Quick fix:
Use Webhooks by ZapierPOST https://api.x.ai/v1/chat/completions with your API key.

Next:
Report it to Zapier so they update the Grok app endpoint
